Description
GWO Certified BTT Electrical Module BTT Electrical Module | GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT) The GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT) Electrical Module is designed to provide participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to perform basic electrical tasks safely within the wind industry under the supervision of an experienced technician. This training prepares technicians for further company-specific technical training by introducing the fundamentals of electrical systems, electrical safety, hazardous energies, and safe working practices commonly encountered inside wind turbines and wind farm environments. During technical operations in the wind industry, workers are exposed to multiple forms of hazardous energy, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical energy sources. The GWO BTT Electrical Module focuses on helping participants understand these risks and work safely using proper procedures, tools, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This course does not qualify participants to independently perform electrical work without supervision. Instead, it establishes the foundational competency required for entry-level technical tasks in the wind sector. The updated BTT Installation Mechanical (BTTI-M) and BTT Installation Electrical (BTTI-E) modules may be delivered either as standalone training programs or as a combined training course. Combined delivery is equivalent to Version 10 of the BTTI module and is completed within 16 hours over two full training days. Aim of the GWO BTT Electrical Module The aim of the BTT Electrical Module is to provide participants with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to: Carry out basic electrical tasks safely Understand electrical hazards and risks Use safe working procedures in the wind industry Identify electrical components and symbols Perform electrical measurements correctly Use appropriate PPE while working on electrical systems Learning Outcomes After successfully completing the GWO BTT Electrical Module, participants will be able to: Explain the basic principles of electricity Identify risks and hazards associated with electrical work Recognise electrical symbols and component functions Explain the operation of various sensor types Read and interpret simple electrical diagrams Assemble and test basic electrical circuits Perform safe and correct electrical measurements Follow proper electrical safety procedures in wind turbine environments Course Highlights GWO Standard Certified Training Practical Hands-On Sessions Industry-Experienced Trainers Electrical Safety Awareness PPE and Safe Work Practices Circuit Assembly & Testing Hazardous Energy Awareness Wind Industry Focused Training Who Should Attend?
